I am a historian, editor, and photographer. I’m interested in identity formation, religious devotion, and state power, and I specialize in the societies of the medieval Mediterranean and the modern reception of the middle ages. I am also deeply involved in the digital humanities, especially as they concern digitization efforts in archives and new geospatial approaches.

I hold a ALB in Medieval Studies from Harvard University, a MTS in the History of Christianity from Harvard Divinity School, and completed my PhD in History from Brown University in 2021.
